The main river of Dimcay has numerous trout farms and restaurants nestled in the river, perfect for cooling down on hot summers days. There is a pretty park and walking trails along the river. Further up is a cave, of the same name, which has a fantastic reputation for its stalagmites and stalactites.
The foreign residence community in Mahmutlar is strong. There are even cultural centres for the population. If a person needs a small service (for example, repairing clothes or equipment), he can easily find someone who speaks his language and solve the problem without even knowing Turkish.
